Projection Art, Karoola
This gallery documents a practice-led PhD research project that deploys architectural projection (or lumentecture) as a means of exploring relationships with place. Against the recent surge of architectural projections as a festivalesque urban mega-spectacle, my own project operates on a modest scale at a rural site in northern Tasmania. A series of experimental images are beamed onto the farmhouse, a vintage caravan, and an array of old sheds in response to the land's history and the rich array of artefacts, activities, weather conditions and lives that flow around and inhabit the buildings.
